Pearl River Boys Lacrosse Rallies Late for Victory
Alex Rudloff and Ryan O'Connor scored late goals to give Pearl River a 6-5 victory at Stepinac Saturday.

The Pearl River boys lacrosse team lost five games by one goal so far this season. It looked like the number would grow to six with the Pirates trailing by a goal with less than a minute remaining in Saturday's game at Stepinac.
Then Alex Rudloff scored his second goal of the contest to tie the game with 2:25 remaining. Ryan O'Connor followed with another goal with 1:48 to go and Pearl River held on for a 6-5 victory.
Goalie Lowell Hunt gave the Pirates a chance to rally by holding Stepinac to only one goal in the second half, none in the fourth quarter. Hunt had 10 saves in the game. Rudloff and Eric Moreau each scored two goals for Pearl River while O'Connor had a goal and an assist.

Chris McDonell scored three goals and Andrew Murray had two for Stepinac.
Pearl River (5-7) will play 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at home against Tappan Zee.
