Pearl River Elementary Schools Ranked For 2018-19 By Niche
Hudson Valley schools generally ranked high in the rankings for public elementary schools in New York in 2019 by Niche.com.
PEARL RIVER, NY — Twenty-nine Hudson Valley schools made the list of the top 100 public elementary schools in New York in 2019 by Niche.com.
All three elementary schools in the Pearl River district were in the top quartile in the new Niche rankings of 2,467 public elementary schools in New York. Each received an A.
Of the top 10 schools, only two are Hudson Valley schools and they're both in Scarsdale. Fox Meadow Elementary School was ranked No. 29 in the nation and No. 8 in New York. The Edgewood School was ranked No. 9 in New York and No. 30 in the country.

Most local schools on the list were from Westchester County. Six districts — Scarsdale, Edgemont, Chappaqua, Rye, Mamaroneck and Katonah-Lewisboro — had more than one school on the Top 100 list.
The top Rockland County school on the list was Laurel Plains Elementary School in the Clarkstown school district, ranked No. 49.

The top elementary school in Putnam County was Kent Elementary in the Carmel district. The top school in Dutchess was the Hagen School in Spackenkill. The top school in Orange was Cornwall Elementary. The top school in Ulster was Phoenicia Elementary. None made the top 100 list.
Niche named Pine View School in Sarasota, Florida the nation's top elementary school.
