Pearl River has won four in a row since opening the season with a tie at North Rockland. That includes victories this week over Mamaroneck and Tappan Zee.
"Rye is usually a very tough team," Pearl River coach Laurie Mayernik said. "We have gone back and forth through the years. In the past, they would bring the ball down the sideline and work to the middle. Last year they had a new coach came in (Lisa Zweigenhaft) and I really don't have a pulse on them. We match up with them pretty well, but we have to play our game. "
Pearl River features a deep group of scorers led by midfielders Maddie Wilson, Kiera McMullan and Lauren Cook.
Rye junior Emma Brinkman has 12 goals in three games.
