Pearl River Man Accused of Weekend DWI

State police from Troop F said they removed 32 impaired motorists from the roads last weekend.

PEARL RIVER, NY — New York State police from Troop F said they removed 32 impaired drivers from local roads last weekend. Among the accused are a Pearl River man driving in the town of Rockland, and an Orange County man driving in Orangetown.

On October 19, State Police Haverstraw arrested Robert Morrison, 25, of Pearl River, NY for DWI. He was traveling in the town of Rockland when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.

On October 21, State Police Haverstraw arrested Steven Runko, 24, of New Hampton, NY for DWI. He was traveling on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Orangetown when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police alleged.
