Pearl River Man Accused of Weekend DWI
State Police said they removed 17 impaired motorists from roads in Orange and Rockland counties over the weekend.

PEARL RIVER, NY — State Police said they removed 17 motorists accused of being impaired from the roads in Orange and Rockland counties over the weekend. One was a Pearl River man driving on Route 17.
On November 16, State Police Middletown arrested Kenneth Smellegar, 48, of Pearl River, NY for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 17 in the town of Goshen when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, police allege.
