Pearl River Man Charged After Police Find Stolen Plates

They were investigating a complaint about unregistered vehicles stored on his lawn.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Orangetown police visited a Pearl River man after receiving a complaint about unregistered vehicles stored on his lawn.

Police checked the plates on one of those vehicles — and the report came back that they had been stolen.

Gerci Coronel-Heras, 36, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor. He is due in Orangetown court Nov. 2.
