DWI Charges for Residents of Pearl River, Montvale, Upper Nyack and Stony Point

Orangetown police report four recent arrests

--Richard Grannis of Montvale NJ is due in Orangetown Justice Court April 1 to answer a charge of driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, as well as violations of vehicle and traffic laws.

Police said the 51-year-old was observed driving on Franklin Avenue at 2:15 a.m. March 9 without headlights, and making a turn onto South Main Street despite the fact that it was barricaded off for snow removal.

Stopped by police, he failed field sobriety tests. He was taken to Orangetown police headquarters where he failed a chemical breath test, police said.

--Michael Ucker, 62, of Pearl River was charged with DWI March 7. He is scheduled to appear in town court March 24, police said.

--James M. Tangredi, 25, of Upper Nyack, was stopped on Upper Midland Avenue in Nyack at 4:11 a.m. March 7. He failed field sobriety tests and a chemical breath test at police headquarters, police said. He was charged with DWI and is due in Nyack village court April 28.

--Marc E. Diaz, 23, of Stony Point, was stopped on North Middletown Road in Pearl River at 4:13 a.m. March 7. Police allege he was driving erratically and appeared intoxicated. He refused to submit to a chemical breath test. He was charged with DWI and is due in Orangetown town court April 28.
