Pearl River School Calendar 2016-17

You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2016-17 school year in the Pearl River School District.

Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 5
First day of school: Sept. 6.
Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Oct. 3-4
Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 10

Yom Kippur (school closed): Oct. 12
Election Day, Superintendent’s Conference Day (no school for students): Nov. 8
Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 11
Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 24-25
Holiday recess: Dec. 24-30 (school resumes Jan. 3)
Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan. 16
Presidents Recess (school closed): Feb. 20-21
Superintendent’s Conference Day (no school for students): March 10
Spring recess: April 10-16 plus *
Memorial Day weekend (school closed): May 29 plus*
High school graduation: June 22

Last day of school: June 23

*Snow make-up days, to be used in order as needed: May 30, May 25, May 26, April 17. You might have them off, but irreversible vacation plans should not be made for those days.
