Pearl River to Recognize Board Members at Tuesday Meeting

Pearl River's regular school board meeting begins 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pearl River High School's Pirate Cove.

The Pearl River School District will recognize the five members of the Board of Education as part of Tuesday's regular meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in Pirate Cove.

This is part of the state's annual recognition of school board members. The individual schools in the Pearl River School District take turns honoring the members of the board of education. This year it will be Franklin Avenue Elementary School at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

There will also be a second reading of two board policies, one revision regarding the formulation, adoption and amendmend of policies and a new one regarding animals in schools.
