People to People Seeks School Supplies for Rockland Kids

Drop off your donations at Rand Realty in Pearl River.

People to People, Rockland County’s largest food pantry, is seeking donations for their “Back to School With Dignity” program. More than 95% of all donations the charity receives goes directly to providing Rockland’s needy families with programs and services. Less than 5% of funds raised are spent on operations. They are looking for help this time of year to make sure all of Rockland’s children in need go to school their first day with all supplies required.

People to People is currently holding a school supply drive now through August 18. Donations of new school supplies such as notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, highlighters and glue sticks can be dropped off at the Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty office, 19 E. Central Ave. in Pearl River. Please donate by August 18 to allow time for volunteers to distribute to area school children.

According to their website, Back to School with Dignity ”equips at-risk children in grades K through 12 with the essential items needed to successfully start school.” Monetary donations for People to People are also sought.
