Officers arrested three people May 26:

9:51 AM, Orangetown Detectives responded to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ and arrested James Remo, 38, from Sparta, NJ. Remo had an active bench warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree (felony). Remo was arraigned in Orangetown Court and released without bail pending an appearance in Orangetown Court on June 9, 2015.

10:53 AM, Orangetown Officers arrested Cynthia Cassidy, 45 from Blauvelt, NY. Cassidy was charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree (felony). Cassidy is accused of stealing a laptop computer after a domestic dispute on May 11, 2015 in Blauvelt. Cassidy was arraigned in Orangetown Court and released without bail with a return court date of June 9, 2015.

2:00 PM, Orangetown Officers arrested Joseph A. Guarasci, M/53 from Pearl River, NY. Guarasci was charged with Vehicular Assault 2nd degree (felony) and Driving While Ability Impaired By Drugs (misdemeanor). Guarasci was charged after an investigation by the Orangetown Police Accident Investigation Unit into a 2014 motor vehicle accident on Route 303 in Blauvelt. A 77-year-old Norwood, NJ man was severely injured in the accident. Guarasci was arraigned in Orangetown Court and was released without bail pending a return court date of June 22, 2015.
