Pothole Money for Orangetown in New NY Budget
State Sen. David Carlucci announced an increase in state aid for local road repair.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Although we were spared a harsh winter, you wouldn't know it by the state of the roads. It's not just the potholes. Some local roads have patches on top of patches dating back years.
So Senator David Carlucci is pleased to announce that the new New York State budget sends nearly $4 million to local governments in the 38th New York State Senate District for road repairs. Specifically, that can be used for potholes and other damage resulting from extreme winter weather.
"This is where the rubber meets the road as far as getting results that make a difference to people. By securing this funding, we will invest in our infrastructure to help maintain safe roads and bridges while allowing localities to use taxpayer money for other community benefits," said Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester).
