Power Outages Close Clarkstown, Nanuet, Nyack, Pearl River Schools Monday

The Clarkstown, Nyack, Nanuet, Pearl River, North Rockland school districts and Albertus Magnus High School announced that it will not hold classes Monday because many of the district's buildings are without power.

The announcement went out to Clarkstown parents shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon and after 5 p.m. to Nanuet parents. The districts are asking that parents pass the word along because many families in the district are without power, internet or phone service.

At the request of the Clarkstown Police Department and a power outage, the Nanuet Schools will be closed tomorrow Oct. 30.
