Pearl River Baseball Wins on Senior Day

Pearl River defeated Nanuet, 6-0 on senior recognition day.

Kevin Considine threw a complete-game shutout to lead Pearl River to a 6-0 victory at home against Nanuet on the Pirates' senior recognition day.

Considine struck out two as he blanked Nanuet on five hits and three walks.

The Pearl River seniors honored Wednesday are John Brebbia, Conor Madigan, Mike McKee, Jordan Mendelson, Brendan Ryan, Jake Tedesco, Mike Vinci, Justin Cueva and Tom Higgins.

Tedesco went 2-for-3 with a double and scored two runs. Mendelson was 2-for-2, both doubles, with three RBI and a run scored for the Pirates. Cueva, Brebbia and Ryan each singled and drove in a run and Higgins it one single in three at-bats.

Pearl River is now 11-6 on the season and 6-0 in league play. The Pirates will play at Nanuet 4:30 p.m. Thursday and at home against Tappan Zee at 4:15 p.m. Friday before finishing the regular season 11 a.m. Saturday at Scarsdale in a make-up of a game initially scheduled for Wednesday.
