PRSD Parent University – Dangers in Disguise
All Parent University programs are free and open to all parents everywhere.

From PRSD: [Pearl River]¾ Pearl River School District’s Parent University announces its first parent education workshop for the 2017-18 school year. “Dangers in Disguise: Know the signs of teenage substance abuse” will be presented by Rockland Council on Alcoholism & Other Drug Dependence Inc. (RCADD) and Norma Canals, LMSW, School Social Worker at Pearl River School District. As caring adults we might have teens in our life that we care about and want to protect from all types of dangers. Would you know the signs or clues to look for that might indicate your teen is using or abusing alcohol or other drugs? Trained professionals will recreate a teen’s bedroom. Parents, guardians, grandparents, caretakers and other caring adults will learn how to identify signs and symbols in a teen’s room that might indicate they are in trouble with alcohol, and/or drugs and other risky behaviors.
The program will take place on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in Pearl River High School’s Pirate Cove located at 275 East Central Avenue. All Parent University programs are free and open to all parents everywhere. Pre-registration is not necessary.
