Rain Can't Stop Pearl River Fall Sports Pep Rally [VIDEO]

Pearl River moved its fall sports pep rally to the parking lot by the high school gym, but still drew a crowd of family and friends to support varsity, junior varsity and modified programs.

Wet fields forced the Pearl River Fall Sports Pep Rally to the parking lot outside the gym and caused the cancellation of the bonfire Friday, but the crowd still turned out to support the district's varsity, junior varsity and modified athletes.

The rain was mostly down to a drizzle for the event on the eve of the Little Brown Jug football game against Nanuet and homecoming.

"Have a great night and let's keep the Little Brown Jug in Pearl River," Pearl River Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Morgano said to the crowd.

The jug itself made an appearance in the arms of senior football player Connor Madigan.

The district also showed off a new Pearl River Pirate statue courtesy of the Chase family.
