Rockland First Responders Recognized

Congratulations to members of Rockland County’s dedicated emergency medical services team!

The Hudson Valley Regional EMS Council recognized Bernice Plata-Garatti as “Advanced Life Support Provider of the Year.” The EMS Council also honored Maria Figueroa as “Basic Life Support Provider of the Year.” Rockland Mobile Care was recognized for “Excellence in EMS Quality and Safety.”

And, the Haverstraw Volunteer Ambulance Youth Corps ‘Trauma Hawks’ won top honors in the Rockland County EMS Youth Competition in May.

County Executive Day and Rockland’s Health Commissioner Dr. Patricia Schnabel Ruppert presented the awards on July 25th at the Haverstraw Ambulance Corps on Route 9W.
