Rockland Thunder 12U Softball Takes Beacon Extreme
The Rockland Thunder 12U Softball team swept six games to earn another tournament championship.

Caroline Alicandri of Pearl River was named MVP as the Rockland Thunder 12U Softball won its third consecutive tournament, sweeping all six games it played at the Beacon Extreme Tournament.
Sarah Brauer of New City, Brianna Acevedo of Pomona and Michaela Contreras of Valley Cottage all won games Sunday as the Thunder clinched the title.
The Thunder draws players from draws players from Congers, Nanuet, New City, Pearl River, Pearl River, Pomona, Tappan and West Nyack and had already earned a berth in the ASA (Amateur Softball Association) Championships Aug. 3-7 in Salem, Virginia, as detailed here.
