A Short Story of An Act Of Caring
There are no ends to the many stories of how a community can help is so many ways.

For every storm cloud of this murderous pandemic that tries to darken our world, a brilliant shooting star[s] appear to push the shadows back.
Some time ago, a lady named Siobhan Keane entered the world of the “Rockland Homes for Heroes” Supportive Apartments for homeless veterans by organizing its most successful fundraising event, with her co-workers at O&R and the Company itself.
Most recently, Siobhan organized a Pizza Feast for both the "Rockland Homes for Heroes" and the Joseph’s Home’s “Maggie Conway” boarding house for 20 homeless folks, some of whom are veterans. She partnered up with the Russo’s House of Pizza on Central Avenue in Pearl River and Mary Meehan to deliver 20 pizzas + some extra treats.
Helping Siobhan were her handsome husband David and beautiful son Ronan and to my delight, Cheryl Dean Ward of the Venture Foundation to help Siobhan make the event very special at my invitation. The pizzas were delivered by Doc Roger Russo, the Father of Michael Russo who owns to Russo's House of pizza.
Although Siobhan and Mary Meehan did not want me to mention it, they paid for 10 of the pizzas out of their own pocket. I could go on for pages about the event and the ladies and how strong they are in caring and giving, but I would fail to do them justice. They bring to mind the story of Molly Pitcher, an American Revolutionary War hero because of the brave choices she made to help our soldiers. She was fearless when she ran back and forth carrying pitchers of water to the soldiers, risking her life every time because she could have been hit by enemy fire.
