Snow Mixed With Rain To Affect Morning Commute: Hudson Valley Forecast
Thunderstorms and roller-coaster temps will also be mixed in with wintry weather from the coast-to-coast storm. Here's the latest.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The coast-to-coast storm system headed toward our region will start with rain, freezing drizzle and a bit of snow overnight.
"Thursday AM commute looks a little bit dicey for the Hudson Valley," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Roads should be mainly wet, due to the moderate temperatures and the light precipitation … but some slick spots are definitely looking possible Thursday morning."
The bulk of the storm will make Thursday very wet. After the snow, freezing rain and freezing drizzle in the morning, then we should expect rain in the afternoon and thunderstorms at night, according to the National Weather Service.

"Heavy rain and wind will be the most ubiquitous troublemakers, threatening a slew of travel delays," said AccuWeather senior meteorologist Alex Sosnowski.
The tail of the storm will bring a burst of warm air, and temperatures at 1 a.m. Friday are expected to be near 50 degrees Fahrenheit, up considerably than they were 24 hours earlier.
