South Nyack Man Didn't Want Cops to Help Drunk: Orangetown Cops

He now faces assault charges.

Orangetown police arrested Adonis Alcime, 30, of South Nyack, on Saturday after an altercation.

Police said they were trying to aid someone who was intoxicated when Alcime intervened, pushing and shoving the officers away.

He then resisted arrest, flailing around and shoving the officers, one of whom was injured, with lacerations to his face.

Alcime is charged with second-degree assault, a felony; and three misdemeanors: resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.

He was sent to Rockland County Jail on $500 bail and is due in Nyack court March 29.
