This Story Is All About Helping Women Succeed In Life

It's about a local Foundation with a very noble and enlightened mission which enriches women's lives in a very positive fashion.

In a previous Patch Article, I wrote about a wonderful organization headquartered in Tappan which exists to advance the destinies of women [and children] in a very noble and strategical wise fashion.

It is named the "MOMS FOUNDATION". Its mission is articulated herein.

Women’s empowerment refers to the ability to make strategic life choices and become independent and economically self-reliant. The MOM Foundation helps to provide opportunities that foster literacy, education, and training.

Every Mom dreams of seeing her child healthy, happy, and successful. The MOM Foundation's mission is to empower, educate and create strong female leaders turning dreams into reality. And once it becomes a reality for one, it can become a reality for all, because women empower one another.

We invite you to join us and support the efforts of the MOM Foundation to promote empowerment, self-reliance and dignity for women and children. Together we can create a better future.

“A woman is the full circle, within her is the power to create, nurture and transform.”

To further that vision, the Foundation is hosting what will be a delightful fundraising evening honoring one of the great ladies of Rockland County, Rosemarie Carollo. I asked one of her three daughters, Maria, to share her story for all of us.

"My Mother has resided in Blauvelt and lived in Rockland County for 40 years. Moving from Brooklyn N.Y she started a family and raised 3 successful girls. Rosemarie’s deep roots and passion for family tradition would not sacrifice her drive to have a career. The Carollo’s took over Del’Arte Restaurant in 1996. Many throughout the county have grown to know and love Rosemarie as the “face” of Del’Arte. Her driving force in the success of the business has made her a positive role model for all women. Through her entrepreneurship, she has developed a meaningful and active role in the community. Rosemarie is always willing to support community based fundraisers and charities and has used her resources endlessly over the years to do just that. She has shown her support to our school districts, our first responders, and organizations such as ARC and Camp Venture. Her contributions to Camp Venture awarded her “Woman of The Year”. She is also an active supporter of breast cancer research. Whether she is hosting fundraisers at the restaurant, donating food to families in need, or simply greeting you as you walk down the hallway of DelArte's Restaurant, Rosemarie has dedicated her life to the service of others."

I am doing just a small personal note. Rosemarie is a member of the incredible BREST BUDDIES, along with my wife. It's a group of 12 incredible ladies who have raised many hundreds of thousand of dollars for research of the cause and cure of beast cancer.

It will be a very joyful and fulfilling event.
