PEARL RIVER, NY— O&R’s Certified Arborist Mark Beamish, in cooperation with Beckerle Lumber, Vista Electric and the Spring Valley Rotary, has presented Arbor Day education programs to more than 800 third-graders in the East Ramapo school district this spring.

The presentations at Grandview, Fleetwood, Hempstead, Summit Park, and this one at Margetts Elementary School, underscore the importance of healthy community tree stock, O&R officials said.

As part of the presentation about the importance of trees in everyday life, each third-grader received a bookmark and a blue spruce seedling, and each third-grade classroom received an Arbor Day poster.
