Upper Grandview Woman Publishes Inspirational Book

"Just Believe: Stories of Inspiration" came out of Christmas notes to friends.

Inspiration can be found in the smallest of things – a pine cone, a butterfly, a key. Since Christmas of the year 2000, Rosemarie Monaco has been sending hand-made ornaments, accompanied by inspirational stories of faith and hope, to her clients, family and friends. “Just Believe: Stories of Inspiration” is a collection of those stories and the ideas that helped them jump from Rosemarie’s imagination to the page.

Beautifully illustrated, the paperback version of the “Just Believe: Stories of Inspiration” collection makes for a charming, yet inexpensive, holiday gift. Its themes of curiosity and magic resonate throughout the year.

“These are inspirational stories that speak to the child in all of us. Children relate to them. Children and adults are inspired by them. The stories were inspired by incidents such as September 11th, everyday obstacles people face, the fears that hold them back and many experiences from my own personal life, as well as the lives of others most dear in my life,” Monaco said. “My goal was to awaken the child in all of us; to return us to a place where anything is possible. Where all you have to do is dream to make it so. Because magic, you see, does exist. It’s the inner power to make your dreams come true.”

Among the stories included in “Just Believe: Stories of Inspiration” are “In Search of an Angel,” “Dog Wisdom” and “Learning to Fly.” Each story is accompanied by the background inspiration to each story and a visual representation of the ornament that was originally created.
