9,000 Out Of Power In The Hudson Valley: UPDATE
Ulster and Westchester counties are the most affected.

UPDATE 5 p.m. — Crews for utility companies keep fixing power problems and the wind creates more. Yorktown is among the hardest hit towns as of 5 p.m.
- Central Hudson reports 6,114 customers out across its entire region, including 1,496 in Ulster, 639 in Putnam and 624 in Dutchess.
- NYSEG reports a total of 1,353 across the entire region, including 604 customers without power in Westchester, most in Yorktown.
- Con Ed reports 785 customers out (all but 2 in Westchester) mostly in Yorktown, Mount Pleasant and New Castle.
- O&R reports 749 customers still out. Damage assessment is in progress for the 516 customers without electricity in Orange.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — High, gusty winds are downing tree limbs and causing some sporadic power outages across the Hudson Valley.
- Almost 4,700 customers of O&R are without electricity Saturday. Most of them are in Orange County. O&R reports 4,395 customers out in Orange; 256 in Sullivan and 22 in Rockland. Customers should have their power restored by tonight, the company said.
- There are 4,566 Central Hudson customers without power, including 770 in Dutchess and 440 in Putnam.
- Con Ed reports 468 customers out of service, most in northern Westchester. Estimated restoration time: 3 p.m.
- NYSEG reports 75 customers out in Dutchess County; 19 in Orange; 74 in Sullivan; 38 in Ulster and 181 in Westchester, most of those in Bedford.
