Winners of the 2018 Nun Run
Even with a rainy forecast, over 130 runners and walkers gathered together to join in this annual "Friend-Raiser."
From the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt: On Mother’s Day weekend, the Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt, New York hosted their Fourth Annual Nun Run 5K Run/Walk at St. Dominic Convent. Even with a rainy forecast, over 130 runners and walkers gathered together to join in this annual “Friend-Raiser.”
This year, many Sisters participated in the race, including: Sisters Mary Elisha Byles, Mary Ann Collins, Molly Dower, Beryl Herdt, Pat Howell, Mary Flood, Pat Langton, Ceil Lavan, Didi Madden, Jane Francis Marron, Dorothy Maxwell, Barbara McEneany, Mary Eileen O’Brien, Ellenrita Purcaro, Terry Rickard, Kathleen Sullivan and Noreen Walsh.
Kyle Collins of Suffern, New York, won the 2018 Nun Run 5K with an overall time of 15:53.72.

Saint Catharine’s of Blauvelt won the Parish Cup Invitational Trophy for the second straight year, even with fierce competition from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Tappan and St. Paul’s in Congers.
Over 20 members of the Maryknoll Sisters of Saint Dominic participated in the 2018 Nun Run, and their team won the first-ever Congregation Cup.
