World renowned Alicia Svigals in Concert at RCM

Alicia Svigals, world's leading klezmer fiddler and composer in concert at the Rockland Conservatory of Music.

Alicia Svigals, world’s leading klezmer fiddler and composer will be performing in concert with Dr. William Schimmel on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Rockland Conservatory of Music. Ms. Svigals is a founder of the Grammy-winning Klezmatics whom she co-led for seventeen years. She has played with and composed for violinist Itzhak Perlman, the Kronos Quartet, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, and many others. Ms. Svigals began her musical education at the Rockland Conservatory of Music as a student of co-founder and Rockland Symphony musical conductor Edward Simons.
