Police Connect 2 Men to Armed Robberies in Cortlandt, Clarkstown, Connecticut
State police nabbed one in a traffic stop and the second after an intense search in Washington Heights early this morning.

New York State Police have arrested two Yonkers residents in connection with the March 24 armed robbery at the Mobil station in Cortlandt—and say the two are implicated in other armed robberies in Rockland and Dutchess counties, as well as in Connecticut.
Michael Caccavale, 35, was arrested following an intense search conducted in the Washington Heights section of New York City during the early morning hours of April 2, police said. He has been sent to Westchester County Jail without bail.
Nicholas Fiore, 24, was arrested following a traffic stop conducted in Yonkers March 30. He is also in the Westchester County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.

Police said additional charges are expected.
The State Police were assisted in this investigation by the Town of Clarkstown Police, the Village of Wappinger Falls Police, the Connecticut State Police, the Greenwich (Connecticut) Police Department, the Norwich (Connecticut) Police Department, the U.S. Postal Inspectors Office, and the FBI.
