2 Peekskill Teens Accused of Shoplifting Clothes at Sears
Yorktown police charged each with petty larceny.

Yorktown police report the arrest of two Peekskill teens who are accused of shoplifting.
Police received a call from security staffers at Sears in the Jefferson Valley Mall at 5:08 p.m. Jan. 8, reporting two the young women in custody.
One is 16 and one 17. Their names have been withheld because they are eligible for youthful offender status, which can only be granted by a judge.

Police said the duo had attempted to leave Sears with clothing valued at $290.99 for which they had not paid.
They each face a petty larceny charge. The 16-year-old was released to a guardian on $100 bail and is due back in Yorktown court Feb. 10. The 17-year-old, unable to post $100 bail, was arraigned and sent to Westchester County Jail. She is due in town court Jan. 13.
