The third of Spectra Energy’s projects to upgrade and expand its Algonquin Pipeline from New Jersey to Canada is being presented to local residents this week.
None of the Open Houses is in Westchester. One is in Rockland County, one is in Putnam County, the rest are in New England.

Access Northeast is Spectra’s third project working on the same pipeline; the first two are Algonquin Incremental Market and Atlantic Bridge.

Each would replace sections of the current pipeline with larger diameter pipe, as well as combination of upgrades to monitoring stations and the like, and adding regional liquefied natural gas storage assets in New England.

Algonquin Gas Transmission Company LLC (“Algonquin”) is hosting a series of Open House meetings for our proposed Access Northeast Project. The proposed project plans include replacement of existing pipelines and construction of new pipelines in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Algonquin plans to hold thirteen public Open House meetings during the month of January 2016 for the Access Northeast Project. The purpose of these Open House meetings is to provide landowners, public officials and other stakeholders with additional information concerning the Project that is based on the activities conducted to date. Project representatives as well as representatives from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will be available at the Open Houses to respond to questions.
For your convenience, please feel welcome to attend any of the Open House meetings. Because there is no formal speaking program, you may arrive anytime within the timeframes listed below.
