Accused of Stealing $25,000 from Dunkin Donuts

New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Jessica Vargas of Cortlandt, New York on Feb. 1 for Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

In January, troopers were dispatched to the Dunkin Donuts on Albany Post Road in Cortlandt for a larceny complainant. After investigation, police concluded that Vargas, an employee, stole in excess of $25,000 in cash from the store from December 2015 to January 2016.

Vargas, 36, was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court before Honorable Gerald Klein and was sent to Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. She is due to return to the Town of Cortlandt Court Feb. 5.
