March 29th 4PM: Hudson's musical roots go deep and broad-it's Americana for people who like to mix The Rolling Stones with their Patsy Cline

On NYC singer-songwriter Karen Hudson’s third release, “Sonic Bloom” she digs deep down in the dirt to exorcise demons and give herself permission to blossom and thrive. Hudson’s musical roots go deep and broad-it’s Americana for people who like to mix The Rolling Stones with their Patsy Cline. “Sonic Bloom,” which was produced by Eric Ambel (Steve Earle/Del Lords) has been well received. In 2013, Hudson was named “Best Female Artist” by 3rd Coast Music magazine in Austin, TX. Hudson’s most popular song, “Mama Was A Train Wreck” was named a top 100 song of 2013 by New York Music Daily.
“With her edgy wit and elegant stage presence songwriter Karen Hudson has been a mainstay of the New York Americana scene since the early zeros...Hudson’s matter-of-fact vocals carry the lyrics with passion, soul, and rich dynamics, from an insistent wail to a warm, caressing timbre: she’s never sung better.” -New York Music Daily.
