• These are the 2026 lohud Football Hype Men (lohud.com) — Peekskill football fans can cheer senior Jaiden Smart, named the team's "hype man" for his energy on the sideline and in the locker room this season. The regional roundup highlights similar vocal leaders from schools across the Hudson Valley, but Peekskill's Smart stands out as the Red Devils' spirit sparkplug.
• Summons, theft arrest and traffic charges (halstonmedia.com) — A Peekskill man working at Uncle Giuseppe's in Yorktown is accused of stealing groceries worth about $142 and has been charged with petit larceny, with a court date set in Yorktown Justice Court. The same police blotter details a separate harassment summons and several traffic tickets, underscoring recent enforcement activity just south of Peekskill.
