Bear Mountain Bridge Toll House Info, Welcome Center Opens For Season

Toll House is located at the trailhead for the Camp Smith Trail.

CORTLANDT, NY — The Bear Mountain Bridge Toll House Information Center and Welcome Center is now open for the season.

The town of Cortlandt said the Toll House, which is located at the trailhead for the Camp Smith Trail, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 pm. Saturdays and Sundays and holidays.

Camp Smith Trail is a 2.5-mile moderately difficult hike that leads to the top of Anthony’s Nose overlooking the Bear Mountain Bridge.

The town restored the Toll House which is located on Route 6/202 (Bear Mountain Bridge Road) with state and town funds.

Display areas for local history, the history of the Toll House and local organizations will be located in the center.
