Thursday Matinee Film Series: Movie Favorites: "Runaway Train" (R)

Join us upstairs in the Community Room. No registration required.

Educator and Film Series facilitator Victor Messick and  “Movie Favorites” are back for six Thursdays starting October 15.

Thursday Matinee regulars John, Bob, Claudia, Del, Rick, and Faye will share one movie each from their list of favorites and with Victor’s help will facilitate the discussion afterwards. Come watch a movie, stay for the discussion and maybe you’ll leave with a new movie to add to your list of favorites!

Runaway Train: Escaped convicts (Jon Voight, Eric Roberts) and a stowaway girl (Rebecca De Mornay) ride an unmanned diesel speeding out of control through Alaska. (1985) (1h51m) Rick has selected this as one of his favorites. He will join us to talk about why after the film.
