Celebrate New Gym Floor At Kiley Center Thursday

"With the help of those who care for our children's well being, we were able to raise $16,000.00+ to fix the floor," said the mayor.

PEEKSKILL, NY — City residents and officials are celebrating the re-opening of the gym at the Kiley Youth Center. The public is invited to an event at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the center, 709 Main St.

The Kiley Youth Center is where many of the City of Peekskill Parks & Recreation activities are held. The floor of the Walter Corney Gymnasium has been completely refurbished.

To All, It is with great pride, I ask you to allow me the pleasure of inviting you to the Re-Grand Opening of
the Walter Corney Gymnasium at the Kiley Youth Center. Many of you may or may not be aware of our
Youth Center in the City of Peekskill, and with the help of those who care for our children’s well being,
we were able to raise $16,000.00+ to fix the gym floor. I’ve included attachments and would like you to
attend if you’re available.
Refreshments will be served following a short speech from our City Historian, Frank Goderre, Mel
Bolden, a relative of Walter Corney and myself. The event will be held at the Kiley Youth Center, 709
Main Street, Peekskill, New York, 10566.
