The City has been working with Con Edison, the Department of Transportation, the City’s Inspectors, Tectonic Engineering Consultants, and the project’s contractor, Montesano Brothers, Inc., to resolve the situation in the most safe, timely and effective manner possible.
In the event of inclement winter weather and unfavorable paving conditions, the project may extend into early Spring 2022. The alternate routes through Buena Vista and the Hampton Oaks apartment complex will remain open and plowed throughout construction. In addition, to accommodate pedestrians, the sidewalk will be made walkable and cleared of snow during the winter months.
