City Of Peekskill: Snow Removal Rule Have Changed

As a reminder for the the witner months ahead, the Common Council recently change the City Code for sidewalk snow removal to the following:

As a reminder for the the witner months ahead, the Common Council recently change the City Code for sidewalk snow removal to the following:

1) Residential property owners must now clean their sidewalks within 24 hours of the end of snowfall. Commercial and mixed-use property owners must clean their sidewalks within 4 hours of the end of snowfall.

2) The City is newly authorized to remove snow from sidewalks in violation of this code and charge the owners for the labor, plus a 25% administrative fee.
