Police allege that Contreras-Diaz brought a woman to the motel and subjected her to unwanted sexual contact and attempted to rape her. Police said that she tried several times to contact police for assistance and he prevented her from making contact with authorities by taking her cell phone. She was able to leave the motel room after a brief struggle and then contacted the police for assistance.

Contreras-Diaz was located by police and arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court. The 26-year-old was sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail. He is due back in town court on July 29.
