The DA said his computer was flagged by the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children center.

CORTLANDT, NY — A Cortlandt Manor man is accused of promoting child pornography via his computer. He was arrested Dec. 20 by the Westchester District Attorney’s Office Criminal Investigators.
Christopher Lynch, 33, faces charges of Promoting an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class D felony, and Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony. He has been released on his own recognizance, said Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr.
Child pornography investigations often start with a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children [NCMEC], which is sent to the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), manned by the New York State Police. The information relating to Chris Lynch was forwarded from them to the Westchester District Attorney’s Office Cybercrime Bureau, which launched an investigation.
