Cortlandt Man Accused Of Kitchen Knife Threat
He took the victims' phones to prevent them calling for help, police allege.

Cortlandt, New York – New York State Police report the arrest of a Cortlandt resident for threatening people with a knife and taking their cell phones to prevent them from calling 911. Police were called to Pinehurst Court at about 11:24 p.m. Sunday.
They allege Robert R. Ulman threatened his victims with a kitchen knife and took their phones.
Ulman, 51, was charged with Menacing in the 2nd degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree (preventing an emergency call), both class A misdemeanors.

Ulman was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and released on his own recognizance, and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victims.
Ulman is next scheduled to appear before the court on Jan. 11.
