Cortlandt Man Adds More DWI Offenses Thursday: Cops

These are felonies.

CORTLANDT, NY — A Cortlandt 26-year-old is in jail for the latest in a series of alcohol-and-driving offenses. The New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks report they arrested Fredy Ortega Flores Thursday.

He was traveling on Route 6 in Cortlandt when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law infraction at about 2:05 a.m. Investigation revealed that Ortega Flores was impaired by alcohol with a prior conviction in the last 10 years. He was also operating with his ability impaired by alcohol while being suspended for an alcohol related offense.

Ortega Flores was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail without bail.

He is charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a prior conviction within ten years, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, both class E felonies.
