Cortlandt Man Charged over Car Stolen in Ulster County

Cops began investigating when the car was found at Hudson Valley Hospital.

CORTLANDT, NY — A car stolen from a dealership in Ulster County turned up at Hudson Valley Hospital in March. State police investigators from Cortlandt and Kingston conducted numerous interviews.

On April 21, New York State Police at the Cortlandt Barracks charged Daniel Acevedo, 40, with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony.

Acevedo, a Cortlandt resident, was arraigned by Honorable Daniel McCarty at Town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. His next court appearance was scheduled for April 27.
