Deadly Crash in Peekskill

PEEKSKILL, NY — One person died and at least three were hospitalized Saturday after an accident on Hudson Avenue near Washington at about 5 p.m. A state police cruiser was sideswiped.

The injured, including a child, were taken to Westchester Medical Center.

The incident occurred on Hudson when a car headed downhill lost control, hit a parked car and went on to sideswipe a state trooper's car. The parked car careened into pedestrians on the sidewalk, killing an elderly woman.
