SUNY Delhi Student Identified As Cortlandt Resident
The death of a student at SUNY Delhi Monday is a possible suicide, police said.

UPDATE — The student's death was ruled a suicide, according to news reports.
CORTLANDT, NY — A student who died Monday at SUNY Delhi has been identified as Alec Zarkower of Cortlandt Manor. Zarkower, who attended Walter Panas High School, was a freshman at Delhi.
Zarkower's father, David William Zarkower, died Sept. 26, 2018. He was 57.

Campus police said they received a report Monday around 10:50 a.m. about a possible suicide on campus.
At a campus meeting Monday afternoon, Delhi President Michael Laliberte said Zarkower was studying automotive technology. He asked the community to be caring of each other and Zarkower's family.

First year student Autumn Wales told the Daily Star that Zarkower was funny, caring and kind.
Students are encouraged to go to Health and Counseling Services in Foreman Hall if they would like to speak with a counselor.
