Domestic Violence In Cortlandt Violates Order Of Protection
A 29-year-old faces three felony charges after an attack at a gas station on Oregon Road.
CORTLANDT, NY — A Cortlandt 29-year-old is accused of using a beer bottle to attack a person who had an order of protection out against him. The act of domestic violence took place at the Oregon Road Shell station on Friday.
New York State police charged David L. Herbin with Assault in the 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd degree, and Aggravated Criminal Contempt, all class D felonies.
Troopers were called to the gas station at noon July 5. They allege that Herbin poured beer over the head of the victim, and then punched the victim with a beer bottle in his closed fist causing injury.

Further investigation determined there was a valid order of protection in place in favor of the victim.
Herbin was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court, and remanded by the Honorable Judge Ragazzo to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or secured bond.
