Don't Avoid the Field Library: Plenty of Parking in Peekskill
The library offers this Parking Update as a thanks to patrons for putting up with the garage construction.
PEEKSKILL, NY — The Field Library has issued an update to let patrons know where all the parking spots are designated just for them.
"Thanks to all our patrons for bearing with us during the construction. We're glad to have you back."
First: there are 12 parking spaces available for Library use in the parking lot behind City Hall. Each spot available has a sign which says LIBRARY PARKING ONLY. The library-only spaces are free for the first half hour by pushing the silver button, and coins can be added for more time.

Second: Directly across from the Library and Police Station is the Nelson Parking Garage. You have two options in there:
1. Find a 2-hour FREE Library Parking Spot. As you enter the Public Parking Garage, make a left. You will find six FREE 2-HR LIMIT LIBRARY PATRONS ONLY spots at the beginning of the first row. Each one has a sign as shown.

2. Find a numbered metered spot and Pay by the Space using the newly installed Pay Stations at either end of the Garage. Each metered spot has a number. Park in the spot, take note of the number, then proceed to the Pay Station to make payment for the amount of time you will be there. Credit Card and Cash / Coins are all accepted. $1 an hour, Monday—Friday : 6 a.m. — 6 p.m.
