Earth Day 2017: Shred and Hike in Cortlandt

Get that stuff recycled and then get outside!

CORTLANDT, NY — Westchester County's mobile shredder will be at Cortlandt Town Hall Friday for all your confidential document recycling needs. Then, giving you a day to recover from lugging all those boxes, the town's Green Team is hosting a community hike on Saturday.

For the mobile shredder, which will be available 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., residents can bring up to 4 file-size (10”x12”x15”) boxes of confidential papers per household for shredding. Remember to remove all large binder clips and covers. Papers from businesses, institutions or commercial enterprises are not acceptable and will be rejected, as will any junk mail or newspapers. Think old licenses, bank statements, invoices.

Then the town celebrates Earth Day with a community hike Saturday to help you discover the beauty of Cortlandt.
