BUCHANAN, NY — Entergy donated a total of $50,000 to four non-profits in direct support of new coronavirus relief efforts near Indian Point Energy Center. In addition to the four grant awards, Entergy’s shareholders agreed to match employees’ contributions to United Way relief efforts dollar for dollar up to $100,000.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has hit some of the most vulnerable in this region the hardest,” said Indian Point’s site vice president and top official, Tony Vitale. “We are pleased to be able to assist some of the organizations which play a critical role helping those most affected during this crisis."

“For many people in Westchester, the crisis has left them food insecure. That’s not something we can fix with a vaccine and we won’t need a test to know that it’s there,” said Matt Honeycutt, VP Development of Feeding Westchester. “Generous donations, like this one from Entergy, help Feeding Westchester as we continue to work to meet the needs of the countless, local families upended by this crisis."
