Felony DWI Charge for Driver Found Sleeping on Route 202

New York State Police arrested Kevin J. McMullen, 44, for Driving While Intoxicated, a Class E Felony, on Feb. 20.

Troopers were dispatched to assist the Peekskill Police Department with a disabled vehicle on State Route 202 near Conklin Avenue. The driver of the disabled vehicle was inside the vehicle, sleeping. Police said that when they interviewed the driver, identified as McMullen, he displayed clues that he was intoxicated.

McMullen, a Putnam Valley resident, was charged with Felony DWI when it was discovered that he was convicted of DWI in January of 2007, police said.

McMullen was issued traffic tickets ordering him to appear in Town of Cortlandt Court March 2.
